List of Yoganian potato dishes
Potatoes (Yoganian: Burgrel, Kjerso: Kobollar, French: Pomme de terre) are the most grown crop in Yogania, even surpassing wheat. They account for 39% of harvested land according to the Yoganian National Statistics Institute (YSI) Yogania is also the biggest exporter of potatoes in the world, with 21% of the world exports (1,2 billion $). Potatoes are also an important part of Yoganian cuisine, according to the YSI, the average Yoganian household eats about 475 kilograms of potatoes a year, which makes Yoganians the biggest potato consumers on average in the world.
Yoganian minister of agriculture, Yogner Goltrad said in a 2018 interview with HGTV News :
"Potatoes are very important in Yogania, not just for the economy or as a food source, but also in Yoganian culture. Think about it, almost every Yoganian stereotype involves potatoes in some way [...], it may be funny said like this, but I think potatoes are an integral part of Yoganian society."

Burgenal
Burgenal is the national dish of Yogania, and is officially part of the National Yoganian Cultural Heritage since 1956. It consists of sliced potatoes topped with beef, Gudyorden cheese and a salty heavy cream-based sauce. The potatoes can be cooked in any way, sliced and boiled, made into fries, sometimes mashed, oven-cooked etc. Stereotypical depictions of Yoganians often feature Burgenal since it is the most internationally known Yoganian dish.
Jeolbud
Jeolbud is a potato based dessert from the region of Kjerso. It is made by mashing boiled potatoes and mixing with powdered sugar to get a dough. It is traditionnally stuffed with cookie butter then rolled and cut up into small pieces. It is primarily eaten around Christmas time.
Boldsoup
Boldsoup is a fish soup originating from Burnach. It is a heavy cream or milk based soup with salmon, potatoes, sometimes carrots, and herbs such as dill and thyme. It is a popular appetizer and is on the menu of most Yoganian restaurants.
Beef and potato pies
Beef and potato pies (Yoganian: Burgrellin garbo, Kjerso: Kobolgar) are an appetizer dish consisting of puff pastry stuffed with shredded beef and boiled potatoes, traditionnally eaten right before the main meal. They can also be stuffed with cheese and seasoned with hot pepper.
