The Utah Western (Reporting mark UW was a Class I Railroad in the United States chartered in 1865 by Willam I. Monson founding also the UWLMS and would be building locomotives using the Utah Western as a Shipper but also as a Side Money maker for the already Millionaire at the Age of 20. THe Railroad would rival the SP and UP spanning from Denver to the North Californian Coastline based in the City of Salt Lake City. William would go on to pass the railroad to his Son before dying. The Utah Western would be one of the main railroads in the West as it gave a better chance for farmers and others to have another choice instead of the Big Three UP DRGW and WP as the slogan "The Utah Native Line" goes back to when Utahans.

The UW would be incorporated apart of the 6 Railroads to form the North American System and would officially be apart of it in Late 1969. Though the UWLMS was the last part that would shutdown due to the Utah Western being Merged and would become its own Little Scrapping and rebuilding Company Similar to NREX. Nowadays the last remaining parts of the Utah Western is the Utah Western Scenic Railroad and 2 Steam Locomotives and 1 UW SD18 numbered 3210. Despite the Utah Western being apart of the NAS all Rolling Stock and Locomotives werent Fully repainted unlike KCN, NSR and WCR which got repainted early and became some sights when visiting the East Coast for Railfanners. All Management would Officially be apart of the NAS in 1971 along with all Routes and Operations handed over. THe Utah Western only operated Communter Services but it ceaswed due to the founding of Amtrak by NAS.
