The politics of Gasaria currently take place within a unitary presidential republic. The current government of Gasaria has existed as a sovereign entity since 1968, although its institutions have origins from since the 9th century C. The present Republic of Gasaria has been categorized as a "flawed democracy".
The main topics in Gasarian electoral democracy concern left–right politics, corruption, and the war with the Federate Union. The country is militarily and politically allied with Khersia and Novdon, and maintains positive trade relations with countries in the West.
