Strettan Navy

The Strettan Navy is tasked with the maritime protection of the nation of Stretta.

Naming Conventions

The navy follows naming conventions for each ship, usually designed around the class name or the letter that the class begins with. This individual name follows the standard designation "SNS", which stands for Strettan Naval Service. For the current fleet, this is as follows: Kazatlan-Class Assault Vessels - All vessels begin with "Ka" or "Ca" or similar sounds, e.g. SNS Cavalier, SNS Kappa, SNS Karat Hatchet-Class Frigates - All vessels are named after melee weapons, e.g. SNS Hatchet, SNS Tomohawk, SNS Sabre Narvik-Class Destroyers - All vessels begin with "N", e.g. SNS Novak, SNS Nebulus, SNS Nefarious Astella-Class Submarines - All vessels begin with "A", e.g. SNS Avalanche, SNS Apollo, SNS Alter Hecht-Class Patrols - All vessels begin with "H", and commonly names, e.g. SNS Hector, SNS Horatio, SNS Henriette This allows for easier recognition over radio transmissions and also allows for easier identification.

Flagship of the Fleet

As a testament to the work of First Minister Maxwell Goodstone, the newly purchased Kampstruffen-class supercarrier was named as the SNS Goodstone, and designated as Flagship of the Fleet under the AFoS restructuring plan
