Action	Murillo's Ancla Nacional and soldiers of the DMR fight loyalist troops and take strategic points around the country and the capital. President Arturo Guillén is arrested and deposed.
Result	Renovationalist coup d'état successful Leonardo Murillo takes power and becomes Caudillo of Montilla
