This article is about the family. For the city in Alexandria Territory, see Cossetton.

The Cossetton Family is a highly wealthy, formerly royal family living in Meridon, primarily in central northern Alexandria Territory around the eponymous city of Cossetton they founded and at one point ruled. Hailing from nobility in Arcadia, they financed and established a city-state colony in Cossetton in northern Alexandria, which was a marked outlier in the island's geopolitcal environment of the time. The Cossettons, benefitting from a prime position on the country's north, benefitted greatly from trade routes to the north and east. It lead the city-state against Union forces during the Second Meridonian Civil War unsuccessfully, leading to their desacrilization and eventual ousting from governance. The Cossettons, through their mercantile and economic connections, maintained control of much of their properties and wealth despite this and maintained veritable political control over the city until the early 1900s. They participated heavily in Meridonian governance until President Phillippe Cosseton, Sr. was asssasinated in 1908.

The Cossetons are one of the oldest and richest families in Meridon and still retain considerably economic and political- particularly the former- influence in Valleduroi and Bai-Roi districts of Alexandria Territory, coinciding with the historical boundaries of the Cossetian city-state. They maintain various business ventures and are regularly featured in Meridonian conspiracy theories due to their past nature of perceived 'underhanded' political maneuvering, expansive wealth, and familial secrecy.
