El Goblino Nation
The Democratic People's Republic of El Goblino (DPREG), or more commonly known as El Goblino Nation, or just El Goblino is an unrecognized country on the island of Da Boyz. The nation has not yet declared independence from its former colonial power of Daboyz but it is in civil war. The nation consists of the former Daboyzian city-state of El Goblino. It has an estimated population of 750,000 people who speak English and Spanish. The unofficial capital is the 3rd District Cave (Third D.C.).
Daboyz-Goblino migrants came to El Goblino in a period of time (1227-1600) known as the Cultural Migration. Then the Daboyz government came into power over the island in the 17th century. Everything was relatively peaceful until late August of 2023, when the Daboyz government used El Goblino purely for military purposes, using it to stage attacks on Sloughttopia. This made El Goblino unsafe and Da Boyz didn't do anything to protect them from Sloughttopia. This fueled the EL Goblino Revolution which had been planned for 4 months prior to when it took action. El Goblino has now joined 3 other countries who are at war with Da Boyz, in hopes to gain independence quicker.
El Goblino is very rocky with 67% of the surface being mountain and rock. Cities at set up in caves and on mountains. These cave systems act as natural air conditioning and heating as alot of the population is too poor to afford manmade air conditioning. Southern El Goblino is unhealthy to be in because Sloughttopia bombed that area, along with the northern part of Duoville.
People in El Goblino are relatively poor and live in small compact housing, often sharing homes with other families. This is due to the poor economy of Daboyz, which has stopped El Goblino from advancing. Citizens use old soviet cars and make their own food.
They currently use the same currencies as Da Boyz and have the same poverty but they want to have their own government. El Goblino is the first of Da Boyz's City-States to realize the issue with the Daboyzzian government. The civil war in El Goblino will grant El Goblino their independence, while further weakening the Da Boyz government.
