The Federal Congress is the national unicameral legislature of the United States of America. Elected every two years through the general ticket system, the Federal Congress is composed of two members from each US state, elected on a joint slate. Every four years, the Federal Congress meets in an extraordinary session to form the Electoral College, which elects the President of the United States of America using first-past-the-post voting.
