The Democratic-Republican Party is an agrarian political party in the United States of America, currently serving as the main opposition. Formed in 1792 by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, the party has long been dominant in the southern states, and advocates for agrarian, Christian-democratic, and socially conservative policies.
