States (Buggan: Golorden) (Kjerso: Bucharyod) (French: États) are a level of administrative subdivision in Yogania. It is the 2nd level after regions. Yogania is divided into 22 states distributed across 3 regions. 19 of these states are located in mainland Yogania and the remaining 2 are island states (Byrenyol and Bugareyol). States are led by a state governor, who is elected by popular vote for a 7 year term. Yoganian states are subject to the same laws across the country, they have no federal power. Each state is allotted a capital city, usually the city with the most inhabitants.
