The Progressive Workers' Party is the major centre-left and social democratic party in Uskad and is one of the three major political parties in Uskad, along with the centre-right Conservative and Nationalist Party, and the United Liberals. It has been the main governing party of the country since becoming the largest party after the 2019 general election. It was founded in 1948 as the successor to an already notable Uskadian socialist organisation, the Socialists and Workers Association.
