Languages of Yogania
The Kingdom of Yogania has three official languages, Buggan Yoganian, Kjerso Yoganian and French. Yogania has officially been a multilingual country since 1264, the year of the Conquering of Kjerso, though both languages were already on Yoganian territory since at least the 10th century A.D. The French language was introduced in the 17th century during the French invasion in retaliation to the Buggan Empire. Ever since introducing French as another official language in 1748, Yogania has been a trilingual country. According to the 2022 census conducted by the YSI, the most spoken language in Yogania is Buggan Yoganian, mostly spoken in the region of Bukjer with 355,043,566 people having it as their mother tongue. The second most spoken language is Kjerso Yoganian, mostly spoken in the region of Kjerso, with 301,476,209 million people, and the least spoken official language in Yogania is French, mostly spoken in the region of Bukjer, with 207,889,239 million people. Some Yoganian official documents are required to be written in 2 or more languages depending on where it is issued.
Buggan Yoganian
Buggan Yoganian is the most spoken official language in Yogania, with more than 40% of the Yoganian population having it as their first language. It is primarily found in the region of Bukjer, though it has strong presence in the state of Popi in Yokjer, and has small communities in a few other states in Yokjer and some in Kjerso. It is less present in the state of Pagan (Yokjer) and has been replaced by French. Buggan Yoganian has always been one of the "dominant" language of Yogania, being an official language in 14 of the 21 Yoganian states.
Kjerso Yoganian
Kjerso Yoganian has been an official language of the Kingdom of Yogania since 1264, as a result of the Conquering of Kjerso, though it had been an important language in Yogania since at least the 10th century. It is primarily found in the region of Kjerso, with a significant presence in the states of Buryatia and Gurlago (Yokjer). There are also communities of Kjerso-speaking people in the state of Yocopo (Bukjer). It is also considered a dominant language in Yogania, with 12 of the 21 Yoganian states having it as an official language. Around 35% of Yoganian people speak Kjerso as a first language. It is the second most studied language at school in Yogania.
