Flag Symbology:

The First National Flag of the Confederate States was adopted into existence in its first iteration without red and white stripes. The original flag, which would eventually become known as the "Battle Flag" of the Confederate States, was adopted into law and existence on September 14th, 0 After United Republic (1926 AD). This flag symbolized the righteous cause of Tiberius Samsus, who at the time had previously been a Warlord in the Anagonian Civil War, and his ideals for reunification of the nation. Two years into his presidency as the First President of the Confederate States, Tiberius would adopt the original flag as the Battle Flag of the Confederate Military and commission a redesign to reflect a peaceful nation. The result of this commission would come to fruition one month later, with the adoption of the First National Flag.

To promote a more peaceful stance instead of showcasing aggressive colors, such as dominant red, the First National opted to recolor the original Battle Flag scheme for more subdued colors such as blue and white, with a more submissive red, situated in the top left corner of the flag. This would be the part of the flag that would announce a formal, proper, and national entity to the world. The bars were added to reflect the formality of statehood and the adoption of countryhood. The flag itself would be formalized two months later, adopted into law, and become the official flag of the Government and Nation.
