Makomborero Gwisai, also known by his superhero name Boneyard and affectionately called Mark by his friends, is a Zimbabwean superhero and a student of the Mutiara Academy who attended the school on a scholarship.
Design
Makomborero is a Shona man with very dark skin and a bald head. He is tall and muscular, being described as a giant by different characters and looks considerably older than he actually is. He wears his uniform shirt with its buttons undone, revealing colourful t-shirts underneath.
Personality
Mark is a man of few expressions and fewer words, which only adds to his intimidating image. Despite his outward appearances, however, he is a gentle, kind, and caring individual with a soft spot for animals. His caring and protective nature is what motivates him to study to become a superhero, and explains the earliest manifestation of his powers - an armoured gauntlet of bone he uses to block attacks and keep himself and others away from harm.
He is also considerably patient and forgiving, not harbouring any grudges or ill will towards those who bullied or misunderstood him.

Boneyard is a typical tank with high defence, which can be further boosted with skills. Because of his simplistic moveset and brute force playstyle, he is essentially a bigger, male Diamond with less micromanaging or reliance on Qi, making him an easier character to play as for beginners.

Boneyard speaks English and Chinese.
Creation and Conception
RMD was impressed by the stone structures of pre-colonial Zimbabwe and inspired to create a Zimbabwean character who controlled stone and was capable of essentially turning himself into a living castle. This idea was scrapped in favour of an African character who had a special connection to animals, and watching the anime Bleach and seeing Yasutora Sado (Chad) and the Arrancar of the franchise inspired the creation of Boneyard's current iteration.
