The Durbanites (Te Rova Lainer: Durbanitetoron, also referred to as TD and sometimes the archaic The East Lainers) is a region of South Neviersia. It is located in the southeast of the country, bordering The West Layners to the west, Midland Region to the north, Greater Darwin to the east and the Sea of Macarthur to the south. With a population of 8,507,000 and a land area of 26,104 square kilometres, The Durbanites is the most populous region in South Neviersia and the second most densely populated.
Davenport is the largest city in the region and the former capital of The Durbanites Regional Council. After the 1981 territorial reformations, the regional seat of government was relocated to Strathlow. Nonetheless, Davenport still remains The Durbanites' major centre of economic activity, dominating the services and banking centres. In 2004, The Eastern Durbanites Regional Council was created with Burlanford, County Powth, as its seat.
