The Republic of Kansas was a short lived republic in Kansas and Nebraska after the collapse of the United States.
The Frontline in the early days of the Kansan Bloodletting, the republic was in a near constant state of war with Federal Loyalists and the Lakota Freedom Front, and effectively collapsed in late 1981, just a little over a year after its proclamation. Formed by much of the pre-collapse Kansan government, the remnants of the government who had not surrendered or defected initially fled to Mississippi, before being kicked out and resettling in Mexico, only to relocate to
