Behatolás is a form of body modification, involving the puncturing into the skin of a canid and creating an opening where either jewelry or a metal implant can be inserted into. Behatolás refers to the ritualistic act of creating the puncture and inserting an implant through it. There are a variety of different materials and forms of Behatolás that are practiced throughout the Empire. It is one of the three mutilation rituals alongside Hegesedés and Márkázása.
