Agriculture in the Blackhelm Confederacy plays a major role in the economy of the Blackhelm Confederacy. Major cash crops such as coffee, cocoa, and tobacco, as well as food crops such as bananas and cassava make up a considerable portion of the Confederacy’s agricultural base, and Blackhelm Confederate wine is widely sought after in Astyria and beyond. Other major crops include beans, sesame, cashew nuts, groundnuts, gum arabic, kola nut, corn, melon, millet, palm kernels, palm oil, plantains, rice, rubber, sorghum, soybeans and yams.
Approximately 60% of the Blackhelm Confederate population, including the vast majority of the tribal population, is involved in agriculture in one way or another.
