The Imperial chichi is a Tehuan breed of small dog. It is descended from the dogs kept by the Ancient Tehuan Emperors and the Ancient Tehuan Priesthood and was considered a sign of royalty and divinity. Today, it is a popular dog breed among all classes of Tehuans and it has also spread through the region and the world. It is mostly kept for companionship and for show.
