Corvette
Corvettes are Small spacecraft intended to act as a Screen for the larger ships in the fleet, tho largely kept to patrol activities and fleet support.
Frigate
Frigates are similar or slightly smaller in size compared to destroyers, but weapons more focused on Point Defense and keeping the area clear of enemy strike craft and incoming missiles
Destroyer
Destroyers are the main frontline for fleets, they provide a screen for the much larger ships along with providing interception capabilities against strike craft and incoming missiles. Usually equipped with medium sized weaponry capable of dealing with peer threats, and easily putting aside smaller vessels like frigates and corvettes. Usually requiring support from its brethren to take on larger capital ships.
Light Cruiser
Light Cruisers are slightly larger than destroyers, however unlike its cruiser brethren it focuses more on a lot of light weaponry to engage smaller vessels like Destroyers, Frigates and Corvettes. Along with able to lead escort missions if highly threatened. Acting as a Screen for larger ships in the fleet, they act as Destroyer repellent and destroy any smaller vessels with ease that try to breakthrough and get closer to capital ships
Cruiser
Cruisers are bulkier versions of Destroyers capable of reconnaissance, independent scouting, leading a detachment of destroyers and frigates for raiding and heavy incursions unlike Light Cruisers, their weaponry is split between medium and light and moderate Point Defense systems. Capable of dishing out loads of damage to destroyers and smaller vessels while also dealing good damage to other cruisers. They are the Neutral zone between Battleships and Destroyer, capable of multi-role operations.
Heavy Cruiser
Heavy Cruisers are the heavier brethren of the Cruiser family carrying heavy weaponry capable of shredding most other cruisers. Along with providing a strong naval presence in a region, They can act as substitute for Capital ships such as Battlecruisers and Battleships. Usually engaging in larger naval battles as the line between Battleships and the rest of the fleet, they can also lead smaller fleets in defense and incursions into enemy space.
Battlecruiser
Battlecruisers are similar size and sometimes a tad larger than regular cruisers but with more focus on weaponry than armor. Allowing them to have weapons of Battleships but the speed of lighter ships at the sacrifice of Armor, making it vulnerable to its heavier counterparts, however still strong enough to bully around Cruisers and smaller vessels whose armaments aren't strong enough, or lack the range to reach the battlecruiser, but also lacking the speed to flee. Capable of engaging in reconnaissance missions, raids on enemy supply lines and smaller vessels unable to escape its grasp, while able to escape the presence of larger ships such as Battleships.
Battleship
Battleships are heavy warships capable of dishing out immense damage to ships of all sizes. They are usually in the backline, carrying a heavy arsenal of weapons with a strong Point Defense system, yet still preferring to stay in the protection of local frigates and destroyers. They engage in all levels of fighting, and greatly support in planetary invasions with their hammer of orbital bombardment.
Dreadnought
Unlike their brother, Dreadnoughts are as armored as they are armed. Usually fairly slow, large, and unable to operate effectively in mobile operations, they provide an immense naval power to a region. Capable of annihilating ships of all classes, and possibly taking on medium sized fleets alone assuming strike craft are not overrunning the space around them as their Point Defense systems are moderate at best.
Titan
Titans, usually the flagship of whole space region armadas. They are the pinnacle of the heavy brawler class, capable of wiping out life on a planet with its bombardment and ending fleets with its rain of fire. Titans are a prized possession for any grand admiral that gets to control it, only given to those of the highest quality and service. They can turn the tide of war by mere presence by fear of their armament. Fitted with extraordinary variety of weapons all fully capable, from Light guns to deal with smaller vessels, and larger to bully even those of dreadnoughts and heavenly endless Point Defense systems to deter Strike craft Presence and missiles. Not many of these beasts are in service as they are limited to one per Sector.
Light Carrier
Light Carriers carry a smaller load of spacecraft usually in ranges of a few squadrons capable of aiding in patrols, escorts, and smaller raiding parties. Lightly armored and armed as well, usually relying on the support of local screening ships for protection.
Carrier
Carriers are the Core and breadbasket of most fleets, providing great support to the fleet with their vast array of strike craft. Engaging in most all sort of combat, they are equipped with decent weaponry and armor to take punches and dish it out back. Usually carrying well over a hundred spacecraft total, they alone can be the difference between a victory and defeat as they also provide immense support with planetary invasions. Providing close air support to troops on the ground, clearing out zones for landings, evacuating wounded and transferring supplies back and forth in contested airspaces.
Heavy Carrier
The Heaviest of their brethren, they provide immense support with strike craft ranging in the multi-hundreds. They are bruisers in their own right, providing a large amount of weaponry to that of cruisers, and armor of battleships. However different variants differ in their expertise. However nonetheless they are a game changer in space combat and even more so in planetary Invasions, providing more than enough support for the troops on the ground. essentially providing non-stop bombing runs and supply runs.
Defense Platform
Defense Platforms are Stations usually heavily armored and armed, ranging in many sizes and purposes. Some protect planets, some points of interests, and others whole solar systems. Either way they are all some form of protection from pirates and enemy fleets, Usually having to be taken out in order to begin any operations in that system/area. Ranging from stations acting as hangers, to a large Railgun, or both, there are many variants out there in Texasivan Space.
escort destroyer
Escort Destroyers are usually slightly smaller than normal destroyers, saving money and manpower. They sacrifice some point defense for extra firepower to scare off threats such as regular destroyers, and to dismantle frigates and corvettes alike. As the name suggest they usually operate in escort operations, planetary patrols, and anti-piracy acts.
Patrol craft
Patrol craft are very small vessels usually acting as planetary guards patrolling the space around whatever planet they find themselves at. limited in size and arsenal, usually acting as a thin layer of defense but if left unchecked can greatly disturb a planetary invasion.
Stealth Craft
Stealth Craft are new to the Navy, and are currently being operated to preform reconnaissance deep within enemy lines and near enemy operations. They can also preform blockade runs to transfer supplies and/or carry personnel into or off a planet without alerting planetary sensors. As well as carry out quick and precise incursions into enemy territory, able to deliver squads into an area to carry out their objectives before the enemy has time to react. However lacking firepower and armor, they are vulnerable if compromised and should leave before enemy reinforcements arrive. They execute these missions well thanks to their cloaking abilities.
Transport
Transports vary in size, tho usually all with the same mission, to deliver mass amount of troops, supplies, and equipment from one location to another. Usually requiring the local airspace to be clear of enemy guns unlike smaller gunships and dropships. Overall delivering more troops to the ground, more than that most other spaceships can provide as they are limited to Marines on board their own ships.
