The National Workers' Republic of Malgrave was a self-proclaimed independent state that broke away from the United Kingdom of Malgrave in 1938. It officially ceased to exist in 1979 when it's last territorial holdings were captured following the Battle of Aria. It was notable for its advancement of a political system it called a Military-Presidential Republic, its anti-isolationist stance, crackdown against pro-democracy activists and steadfast refusal to accept the ancient origin theory.
History
- Main article: History of the National Workers' Republic of Malgrave
History
The National Worker's Republic of Malgrave was founded on the 14th of March 1938 following the successful completion of Operation Enlightenment, and the successful defection of the then fully-professional Royal Army of Malgrave (1910-1938), At that time the National Workers' Republic aimed to march on Epping and overthrow the government, however heavy infighting between senior members of the National Council for Stability and Justice led to the indefinite suspension of Operation Asola and their withdrawal to the border regions.
In the aftermath of Operation Enlightenment the NWR emerged as the strongest force in the Malgravean Civil War however heavy losses suffered during the Battle of Pakosc and subsequent defeats at the hand of the Territorial Defence Force and the Socialist Republic reversed this trend and the NWR was finally crushed by the TDF in 1979
Geography
Political Geography
All throughout its history the National Workers' Republic of Malgrave was sandwiched between the Malgravean central government and forces belonging to the Socialist Republic but during this time period it maintained a connection with the international community via the port city of Aria.
Climate and landscape
Although The National Workers' Republic of Malgrave enjoyed the same climate as the Socialist Republic it also lacked the rugged mountains enjoyed by it's communist rival and heavy-rains were a common problem instead of heavy-snowfall. At the same time the elevated nature of the National Workers' Republic and the TDF's reluctance to engage in combat that would endanger civilian lives meant that the Worker' Republic was secure for a large portion of its history.
Politics
Politics in the National Worker's Republic of Malgrave was organised into four distinquisable sectors, all who held varying amount of power and influence in the country and its internal and external affairs, those were the Presidents Office, the Presidency of the Military Council, the Military Council and the Workers' Democratic Legislative Chamber
Workers' Democratic Legislative Chamber
The Worker's Democratic Legislative Chamber was made-up of representatives of the military appointed by the Military Council under the advisement of the President of the Military Council and the President of the National Workers' Republic. It was designed to review legislation proposed by the Military Council and pass judgement with a simple aye/nay vote. In theory the chamber could reject legislation put forward by the Military Council however this power was rarely exercised and typically only happened during internal power struggles in the party
President of the Military Council
The President of the Military Council was tasked with overseeing the Military Council and ensuring that a steady legislative agenda was forwarded to the Workers' Democratic Legislative Chamber. The President of the Military Council was scheduled to rotate every five years between differing arms of the military, however in practice typically the most powerful service was awarded the job and so it was typically awarded to the commander of the ground wing of the Patriotic Front
Military Cabinet
The Military Cabinet in the Worker's Republic of Malgrave consisted of three major officers from the Army, Air Force and Navy. It was tasked with creating legislation to ensure that the government kept to the five-year plan proposed by the President and keep the Worker's Democratic Legislative Chamber busy.
President
In the National Workers' Republic of Malgrave the position of President took over that filled by the reigning monarch in the United Kingdom of Malgrave, and so was tasked with giving final approval to legislation passed by the Workers' Democratic Legislative Chamber. As the NWR also rejected the isolationist position of the central government in Epping the President was also tasked with forging diplomatic relations with other nations in the international community, and typically did this with a high-ranking member of the Military Council (usually the President of the Military Council).

Foreign Relations
The Worker's Republic of Malgrave also refused to follow the policy of isolation practised by the Malgravean central government and instead followed a practice of internationalism. All throughout it's existence the Workers' Republic attempted to forge alliances with various members of the international community and garner support for it's cause through the form of pure vocal recognition or the transfer of weapons, industrial assistance and volunteers
