Thor Eskilsen (born July 08, 1990) is a Normarkian professional track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw event. Thor Eskilsen won his first and only olympic medal when he claimed the silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics. After recieving the silver medal, a medal he was the underdog to since he was ranked as 11th in the world before the olympics, he told an interviewer that he would retire after the competition. Thor Eskilsen was seen as a promising javeling thrower when he won several nortuan and world youth competitions and even won a few international competitions when he began competing on a senior level. He failed to achieve any real success during world championships and olympics, until 2024 when he won the silver medal at 34 years old as one of the biggest underdogs.
Thor Eskilsen is also known for being the son to Karsten Eskilsen, a former normarkian javelin thrower whom holds the normarkian record for the longest javelin throw.
