Helena (born Helena Christensen; 25 December 1968) is Queen of Denmark as the wife of King Frederik X.
A former Victoria's Secret Angel, Helena initially found fame in the early 1990s as one of the world's most popular supermodels. Throughout her modeling career, Helena graced the covers of various magazines including Vogue, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar and appeared in fashion campaigns including Revlon, Chanel, Versace, and Prada along with being a former Victoria's Secret Angel. Together with the likes of Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Elle Macpherson, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Christy Turlington (who also married a European royal), Helena was known as "The Magnificent Seven". In 1999, she co-founded and served as the original creative director for the American lifestyle magazine Nylon.
In 1998, Helena married Denmark's Crown Prince Frederick and later became queen consort in January 2024 following the abdication of her mother-in-law Queen Margrethe II. Together, the couple have four children including the eldest Crown Prince Christian. As queen consort, Helena has been a vocal supporter of funding for breast cancer, climate change, and other issues.
