Olavsborg is an admastrative centre that lies in the municipality Olavsborg but inside the Daal the metropolitan area in eastern Greater normark. It has a population of 73,000 which makes it the 10th most populous city in Greater Normark. It's origin comes from when ALbreck the Holy, the first King of the Kingdom of Østerdaal, built a fort in 1515 south of Daal's town wall in preperation for the Daal civil war that began 6 years later. After the civil war had finished in 1527, the fort quickly became a growing town from migration from destroyed towns during the civil war. The growing town was swallowed by Daal during the industrial revolution during the late 19th century.
