Eskland (Waldish: Eskland, Eska: Eskävisik), officially the Republic of Eskland (Waldish: Republikken Eskland, Eska: Eskävisikut Häkilnu), is a sovereign state in Elia Australis. It lies between the Free States to the southeast and the Alconian Ocean to the west. Eskland's capital and largest city is Alusit, with other major cities including Jansberg and Kalo. With a population of more than 25 million, Eskland is the Xth most populous nation in the world. Human habitation in Eskland dates from approximately 12,000 years ago. The Tela River Valley, historically known as Telaland, has hosted complex societies since the emergence of the Attap civilization c. 2100 BCE, and is widely recognized as one of the world's seven independent cradles of civilization. The Attap were followed by a number of societies including the Kikla, Paklossu, and Ulko. The Telaic world underwent a rapid societal collapse c. 700 BCE, during which the Eska, from whom the modern Eskavic peoples are descended, migrated into the region. By the time of Calesian first contact in 1561, most of Telaland was dominated by a loose confederacy of Eskavic city-states led by the hegemonic Kingdom of Alusit.

- Imperial Telaland 1050–1352, Livils unifies the region once again in 1050 under the Second Eska Confederacy, pushes Eskland to its greatest territorial extent as the Confederacy retakes the Lower Tela and pushes deep into the Borealian interior, unites the Telaic world for the first time in recorded history and spreads Eska as the regional lingua franca
