First Division
Season 01/02 First Division
The first game was between Legio Loewenburg and Wohia Kickers. This was followed by 3 games in a row with a draw for Legio. Hansa Kolsche didn't have a good start so far, were in last place and involved in the relegation battle, a shadow of their last season, but were able to save themselves in the end. BFC Neustadt are also in a bad position and have to go into relegation. The fight is relatively tough, Sturm Beatrixa has been at the top for quite a long time, but also VfR Wengen and 1. FC Kaiserclaw. Lords and Plebs FC and SV Utrespor are able to mount a strong attack at the end, but SSV Gevla manage to take the championship. A very competitive season with some surprising results.

Second Division
Season 01/02 Second Division
The season was opened by favourites SV Rosenville and Olypia Lowenburg, one of the biggest spectator magnets in the second division. Rosenville won 2-1, while promoted FC Thuringia also played against last season's relegated third-placed team, 1st FC Wohia, who lost out to the great 1st FC Kaiserclaw in the relegation play-off. Furthermore, the relegated FC Kingsund played against the former third division team Jugend Löwen FC (1:2), the Gloria derby between Deinze and Augusta FC (1:2) and the derby of the Eintrachten between Alterwar and Bellersche Eintracht (1:0). Not a single former first division team was able to secure an opening win. Over the next few matchdays and for the majority of the season, the top of the table will primarily be a duel between SV Rosenville and Energie Königseck, although other clubs will join them. Gloria Augusta FC and Jugend Bellask are behind them, with relegated Kingsund in penultimate place battling against Kaersting, Lens and FC Thuringia. Things look equally bleak for Olympia Loewenburg on matchday 4, who were beaten 4-1 by promoted Gymnasium Michalinde and will also find themselves in the lower midfield. Rosenville defended their top spot with a 2-0 win against third-placed Gloria Augusta FC. The youth derby between Voltra and Bellask ended 2-0, and there was also a high-scoring top match on day 5 when Olympia met Kingsund with a 3-3 draw, making the battle even more exciting, as Sturm Kaersting also picked up their first draw the day before. The first defeat for Rosenville came on MD6, when they lost to Bellersche Eintracht, Kingsund passes them by with 5 points. The following day Kingsund also got their first win, ending their losing streak with a 2 to 1 win over Erwangen. Danubia Ulm and Eintracht Alterwar are now battling it out at the top alongside Bellask. In the first direct duel between Königseck and Rosenville, Rosenville won 1 to 0 in extra time and handed Königseck its first defeat of the season. This ended the undefeated and unchallenged series. Now it's Rosenville's turn to pull away from the leaders, sometimes by as much as 8 points. At the bottom, Kingsund and Sturm Kaersting are still battling it out, as are Jugend Löwen FC and Jugend Voltra. Olympia Lowenburg and VfL Lens are also in the mix. FC Thuringia was able to fight its way up from the bottom to the top and even holds 4th place. In the relegation battle, Kingsund won 4-0 against Jugend Löwen FC and 1st FC Wohia also managed to fight their way up the table with a 5-1 victory. Now it is more open at the top again, as Alterwar wins 2-0 in a direct duel with Königseck on matchday 21 and thus becomes the leader. ROsenville is in second place, Ulm in third, Königseck in fourth and Bellask, 1. FC Wohia and Thuringia below them. Gloria Deinze also played at the top for a while, but they fell off quite a bit and now find themselves in the relegation places. Kingsund and Kaersting were able to put some distance between themselves and the bottom, but Lens and Jugend Löwen FC have to stay at the bottom. And once again Alterwar achieved something historic when they beat their main rivals Rosenville 5-1 in a direct duel. It doesn't last long, however, and three days before the end Rosenville are in 1st place. They are followed by Alterwar, Thuringia, Wohia and Königseck. This means that the direct promotion places are almost certain, as is the relegation place. This will be confirmed again on MD37. SV Rosenville can now secure the championship with a win on the last matchday; a draw will not be enough if Eintracht Alterwar wins. Wohia and Königseck can both still secure a relegation place if Thuringia lose, Jugend Löwen FC are already certain to be relegated and Lens can still secure a relegation place if they lose, while Bellersche Eintracht can still reach safety if Gloria Deinze win and lose. In the direct top match between Wohia and Rosenville, Rosenville loses 1 to 0, Wohia thus moves into the relegation place for promotion, Lens wins 2 to 1 against Sturm Kärsting and is for the moment in the relegation place below, Thuringia quickly dashed Wohia's dreams and finished third with a 2-4 win against Jugend Löwen FC, and the final game between Eintracht Alterwar and Excelsior Erwangen was now about the championship, and a goalless draw gave Rosenville a well-deserved title! Alterwar are also promoted as runners-up and Thuringia go into the relegation play-off. Jugend Löwen FC, Bellersche Eintracht were relegated, VfL Lens and Olympia Lowenburg have to go into relegation. FC Thuringia finally lost the promotion relegation play-off against BFC Neustadt, having already won 1-0 but losing 2-0 in the second match.

Third Division
Season 01/02 Third Division
The opening match between SSV Burgmar and the newly promoted team from Westerstadt ended in a 3-2 draw. This signalled the first general direction in the first half of the season for Westerstadt and Burgmar. TSG Urwald, relegated from the second division, played against the traditional club from the same year, SSG Ulm 99 (3:1), traditional duel Schwarzlord and Ares Kolding (0 to 2) and Löwenstein played the traditional derby against Mannhausen (2 to 2). At the top, Waupun FC on MD10 caught up with the long-time leader and promoted FC Westerstadt, followed by Nord-Ost FC and St. Leypzig Kreuz. Mannhausen, Hartberg and Nordica Temse were also at the top. At the bottom are Eintracht Archipel SV, Rapid Valentina, SSV Burgmar, 1912 Burgsport, TSG Urwald and SV Oeasterllan, as well as Nordische Kickers FC and FC Kelstadt Fußball. Nordische Kickers and 1912 Burgsport were without a win for a long time, but were able to make up a lot of ground in the last few match days. FC Westerstadt, in second place, had a great start to the season and was undefeated until MD9. At MD16, the original top formation had already disintegrated quite a bit, with Nordost FC still at the top followed by Waupun FC and St. Leypzig Kreuz, followed surprisingly by SV TNS Stadt, who have worked their way up completely, then Wohia-West, Union Mannhausen and Hartberg. Westerstadt is now pretty much left behind. The relegation still looks similar with SK Rapid Valentina, who have been bottom of the table since MD11 and will be until the end of the season, Eintracht Archipel SV, Nordische Kickers FC, SSV Burgmar, TSG Urwald, SV Oeasterllan and further up 1912 Burgsport, FC Kelstadt Fußball and the now relegated Ares Kolding. On MD 20, Nord Ost FC (with 10 points between them and second-placed Leypzig) and Leypzig remain at the top, but are now followed by SV TNS Stadt, relegated Gymnasium Michalinde, TSV Hartberg and STV Sturm. Wohia West is still together with Ulm, the relegated Waupun FC, Nordica Temse and FC Westerstadt and Union Mannhausen. At the bottom with 10 points is SK Rapid Valentina, followed by Nordische Kickers FC, Eintracht Archipel FC, SV Oeasterllan, SSV Burgmar and 1912 Burgsport. Kelstadt Fußball, St. Löwenstein and TSG Urwald 1899 follow. The MD 30 is already starting to crystallise, as Nord-Ost FC is still in the lead with an incredible 63 points, 14 points behind second-placed St. Leypzig Kreuz. They are closely followed by TSV Hartberg and FC Westerstadt, who fought their way back up after an incredible run. They are followed by Waupun FC, who are back at the top, Gymnasium Michalinde and 1. FC Wohia-West. STV Sturm and SV TNS Stadt have established themselves in mid-table, where Eintracht Archipel FC and Kelstadt Fußball and SSV Burgmar have also fought their way up incredibly. In last place with 11 points is still SK Rapid Valentina, and now also SSG Ulm 99. Above them are Nordische Kickers FC, Orasterllan, St. Löwenstein and 1912 Burgsport and LFC Schwarzlord. TSG Urwald are in mid-table. Six matchdays before the end, we take another look at the table and find something interesting. Nord Ost FC is still in first place with 80 points, followed by Wohia-West and Leypzig Kreuz. Waupun FC and TSV Hartberg, as well as 1912 Burgsport, who have fought their way up the table, are further behind. Wohia must hope for at least 3 defeats from NOFC and win to take the championship title. The battle for the second direct promotion place between Wohia-West and Leypzig Kreuz is more exciting. The second promotion relegation place of Waupun FC is also contested with 5 other participants, TSV Hartberg, 1912 Burgsport, Ares Kolding, STV Sturm and Eisern Union and SSV Burgmar. The relegation places are still occupied by SK Rapid Valentina, who are almost certainly relegated, 1. FC Nordica Temse, who fell over the course of the season, St. Löwenstein, SSG Ulm 99, 1. FC Union Mannhausen and Nordische Kickers FC. However, the overall battle reaches as high as 12th place in the table. With a 2-0 win over 1 FC Nordica Temse, Nord-Ost FC secured the championship with 86 points, 12 points clear of 1 FC Wohia-West, with 4 games to go and virtually unassailable. SK Rapid Valentina and 1. FC Nordica Temse are also safely relegated. In the first match on the penultimate matchday, SSG Ulm and Westerstadt will meet in a draw. Ulm is out of the relegation zone, but pretty close to relegation. They were followed by Nordische Kickers FC and 1912 Burgsport, the latter winning with a hat-trick to move into fourth place for the moment. Just like Ulm, the Kickers are also out of the relegation zone and thus pretty close to staying in the league. Oeasterllan lost their penultimate match against SSV from Burgmar and therefore still have to tremble for relegation. Gymnasium Michalinde saved themselves from relegation with a narrow victory over Kelstadt, which now slips to 6th place. Kolding shatters Burgsport's dreams again after taking over 4th place with a win. These dreams were also shattered in the last game when Waupun FC won against Eisern Union. Ares Kolding and TSV Hartberg are now tied on points, but the goal difference is much smaller. Even 1912 still harbours slight hopes. In the battle for second place between Leypzig and Wohia West, Wohia leads with 2 points, but a draw is not enough for them if Leypzig wins. 1. FC Union Mannhausen is now also firmly relegated. SV TNS Stadt also has no more hope and even St. Löwenstein no more. However, FC Kelstadt Fußball can still pull off a miracle. With the defeat of Nordische Kickers FC, SSG moves up one place, but the Kickers now have to hope even more. However, this changed again in the very next game, when SSG Ulm lost 4-0 to SSV Burgmar. This meant that they were once again on the edge of their seats. Burgmar had another incredible run-in and are in 6th place, an incredible result after a terrible first half of the season. With a draw, Burgsport must now also bid farewell to promotion. But this point saved Kelstadt and they can jump up 3 points. As things stand, Oeasterllan are still relegated, with Ulm and Kickers right behind them. However, a win for Kelstadt means that Ulm are now also out of the relegation zone and in 6th place. Ares Kolding regained 4th place with an easy draw. The next match between Leypzig Kreuz and Nordica Temse is now about the important direct promotion place, which Leipzig cannot achieve. They lost 3 to 4, meaning that 1. FC Wohia-West was now officially promoted directly. Wohia West's subsequent defeat against SK Rapid Valentina does not change that much. In an absolute top match, TSV Hartberg manages to win against Nord-Ost FC and thus secures 4th place. And they kept it even when Waupun FC narrowly lost promotion with a simple draw against 1. FC Union Mannhausen. It is now clear that Nord-Ost FC will be promoted and will thus be promoted again directly after relegation, 1. FC Wohia-West, St. Leypzig Kreuz will play the relegation play-off against VfL Lens and Olympia Loewenburg will play against TSV Hartberg. SK Rapid Valentina, 1. FC Union Mannhausen, SV TNS Stadt, 1. FC Nordica Temse, St. Löwenstein and SSG Ulm 99 were relegated. Leypzig won the first leg 2 to 0 and the second leg 2 to 1. They were promoted to the second division. TSV Hartberg also wins 2 to 0, but Olympia can also win 2 to 0. Olympia wins the penalty shoot-out! Promoted from the regional league are Eintracht St. Harfen, SC Arbeiter Union, Virtus FC, Elite TNS Stadt, FC Eisenberg Stadt and St. Hammer 04.

The Cup
First Round
Opening the competition will be 1. FC Nordica Temse, relegated from the third division, and their third division opponents St. Leypzig Kreuz, who were even promoted this season. This is Nordica Temse's first cup and could also be their last cup for some time to come. However, the opponent is still Leypzig. The game is played in Nordica's 28,000-capacity Nordstadion, which is filled to the brink with 5,000 away guests. Nordica wins with an incredible 2 to 0! In the second match, the first first division team, 1. FC Kaiserclaw, played against the promoted third division team 1. FC Wohia-West. Kaiserclaw are of course the big favourites as a first division team, but Wohia could also break the first round curse for the first time in their third cup appearance. And they did just that, winning 2-0 against Kaiserclaw in an incredible game! They now play their former third-division rivals Nordica Temse in the second round, who have already eliminated their main opponents from the league - Leypzig, with whom they were competing for 3rd place. Now comes a pure second division clash between relegated Bellersche Eintracht and Gloria Deinze. In the league duels, Eintracht won 2 to 1 and 3 to 0. But revenge was taken and Gloria Deinze won 1 to 2 in extra time. Another third division clash is between TSV Hartberg and promoted Westerstadt - the former is the clear favourite in this case, having lost to Olympia Löwenburg in the promotion relegation to the second division. Westerstadt had a fantastic first half of the season, but an even worse second half and lost sight of a possible breakthrough. In another rather interesting match, third division champions Nord-Ost FC will face their former second division rivals 1912 Burgsport after both were relegated to the third division. NOFC made it straight back to the top, while Burgsport are the complete opposite in the relegation battle. However, a pretty good second half of the season saved them a single-digit place in the table. And it seems to be continuing as Burgsport won an incredible 5 to 1 against NOFC. In terms of fans, the 6th game of the 1st round is probably the most interesting by far, as SK Sturm Beatrixa - seventh in the 1st division and the 8th biggest club in Lionsroar - welcome FC Kingsund - former 1st division side and mid-table in the 2nd division with 10,000 visiting fans - to their 56,000-seater Sturmbühne stadium. The 9th largest club in Lionsroar. Kingsund wins 2 to 3. Nordische Kickers FC, who were almost relegated this season, beat 1829 Feuerstadt by an incredible 4 to 0. This is the third time the club has been knocked out in the first round. Gymnasium Wengen Football played against Lords and Plebs FC, which was lost on penalties. Another second division duel took place between the favourites FC Thuringia - who failed in the promotion relegation to the 1st division against BFC Neustadt and almost marched through - and VfL Lens, who lost in the relegation relegation against St. Leypzig Kreuz. This time, however, they won 2 to 1. Ares Kolding had the honour of welcoming Sturm Baltika Fußball, currently third in the first division and the 5th biggest club in Lionsroar, to their home. They lost 4 to 2. There was a final first division clash between relegated SC Loewenburg and relegation candidates BFC Neustadt, which ended 2:1 in favour of BFC, meaning that the season was over for SC. In the 14th game, 1st FC Wohia, who have not had a bad last few seasons, face the absolute record winners of Lionsroar, the King's Team. And as the incredibly poor cup record of the King's Team would have it, they were completely shot down 3 to 0. A shameful defeat and an absolute surprise victory! SSG Ulm 99, relegated from the fourth division, played against the first division team from Wohia (the Kickers), who had played a pretty good round in the last cup. In this game with the biggest gap between the teams, SSG naturally loses by one goal. The last runners-up from Königseck play against Jugend Voltra. In the league, Königseck was always clearly the better team, but this cannot really be the case in the cup. In their first and probably last cup match, SV TNS Stadt won incredibly 3-0 against their league rivals from Waupun. The former first division team Jugend Bellask met the current first division team SV Utrespor and won 0:4. Once again we had a duel between a relegated third division team (St. Löwenstein) and a relegated first division team (Thuringia West) and at the same time the 6th largest club in the whole of Lionsroar. In the penalty shoot-out, it then became clear that last year's fourth-placed team St. Löwenstein would progress. SV Rosenville, champions of the 2nd division and former runners-up in the cup, face first division side Eisernberg FC. The newcomers at the top can prove themselves there with a 2-1 win. There is also a second division clash between Olympia Löwenburg, who were almost relegated, and last year's cup winners Gloria Augusta FC, with the former surprisingly defeating the cup winners and now facing their runners-up from Rosenville in the second round. An incredibly difficult path. In another gigantic traditional duel, the second and tenth largest clubs, Legio Loewenburg and Borussia Walste, meet. Both are familiar with each other in the league, but only one can win. And once again it's nobody from Loewenburg, Walste goes on! The only remaining capital city club is Olympia Loewenburg. The last-placed team in the third division, Rapid Valentina, can now play against last year's third-placed team and league rivals Eintracht Archipel in their last cup season before a break and even win by an incredible 4-0! Also playing were SC Fortuna Friedelsheim and Gymnasium Michalinde (1:0), Eisern Union 1954 and SpvGG Esse (1:2), SV Haschborg 04 and FC Kelstadt Fußball (1:0), Jugend Löwen FC and Eintracht Alterwar (1: 2), FC Haschborg and FC Sturm Kaersting (0:2), SSV Burgmar and STV Sturm (1:0), Wyvern Rot-Weiß and TSG Urwald 1899 (1:2), LFC Schwarzlord and VfR Wengen (3:2), Hansa Kolsche and 1. FC Union Mannhausen (0:2), FC Danubia Ulm and Excelsior Erwangen (2:0) and SSV Gevla 1907 against SV Oeasterllan (1:0).
Second Round
Now 1st FC Nordica Temse face the first division conquerors from Wohia-West in their first ever cup tie. However, unlike in the league, Nordica managed to go on to win the second round! Hartberg met the second division team from Deinze and, as expected, lost this match 1 to 0. Reunited, the great FC Kingsund now met the relegated 1912 Burgsport, a true duel of tradition. Kingsund defeated a second-division team, but Burgsport also won 5-1 against the third-division champions. And can win this miracle with a narrow 3 to 2 in extra time against Kingsund and move on. The second-best club in the league, Lords and Plebs FC, face Nordische Kickers FC, who were almost relegated but had already beaten first division side Feuerbrandt. They did not have the same luck this time and were defeated 2-1. SV Haschborg 04 and FC Wohia Kickers met in another first division clash, which ended in a 2:3 draw. In another second division clash, Jugend Voltra surprisingly won 2-0 against the promoted team from Alterwar. In a sensation, SSV Burgmar managed another victory against the first division team from Utrespor (2:1)! St. Löwenstein also continued to make a name for itself as a cup team when it defeated TSG Urwald 1899 3-1. In another step on a difficult road, Olympia Loewenburg now face their champions and vice-champions of the last cup year SV ROsenville, having already defeated a promotion candidate and winner of the last cup, Gloria Augusta FC. And this time, too, they completely surprised the favourites with a brutal 1:4 victory. In a final traditional duel, FC Danubia Ulm and SSV Gevla 1907, this year's Lionsroarian champions, will meet. With an incredible sensation of 1:0, Ulm continues into the third round! Other matches were played between VfL Lens and Fortunat Friedelsheim (1:0), Sturm Baltika Fußball and SpvGG Esse (2:0), FC Sturm Kaersting and SV TNS Stadt (2:0), Borussia Walste and SK Rapid Valentina (3:0) and LFC Schwarzlord and 1. FC Union Mannhausen (2:0).
Third Round
Nordica keep the sensation alive after an incredible 2 to 1 win in extra time against Gloria Deinze. An incredible run what they deliver here! In a mighty traditional duel, 1912 Burgsport met the double vice-champions from Lords and Plebs FC, which also ended with an incredible 4 to 3 in favour of the third division team. VfL Lens, on the other hand, were defeated 2-1 by the great Baltika. And in the first division clash between BFC Neustadt and FC Wohia Kickers, the latter emerged victorious. This means that the 4th round will once again be a pure third division and first division duel. In the pure second division duel, Jugend Voltra beat Sturm Kaersting and can move on. There, this year's cup miracle from SSV awaits in the pure third league duel between Burgmar and Löwenstein, which will stop the great St. Peter's Cup team. In the traditional duel between Olympia Loewenburg, which has already defeated two absolute favourites, the first division team Borussia Walste awaits. The latter also won clearly with 2 to 5 and ended Olympia's cup dream. And in the last match, Danubia from Ulm played against third-division team Schwarzlord, who lost. This means that 3 first division teams, 2 second division teams and 3 third division teams are still in the running.
Fourth Round
In the first match of the fourth round, two third-division teams meet, the fallen second-division team from Burgsport and the returning fourth-division team from Nordica Temse, who are having a fantastic cup season. However, this dream had to come to an end when Burgsport won 1:2. In the pure first division duel between the gigantic clubs Sturm Baltika Fußball and FC Wohia Kickers, the former wins 2:1, while SSV Burgmar manages to maintain its miracle against Jugend Voltra and advances to the semi-finals! And in the last duel between Walste and Ulm there is no sensation with an easy 1:0.
End Round
This means that two first division teams and two third division teams will now face each other and try to fight for a place in the final. The first traditional match between Burgsport and Baltika ends with an absolute victory of 3 to 0 in favour of Baltika, who now move on to the final. Borussia Walste, who won 2 to 1 against SSV Burgmar, awaits them there. In match 3 there will be a reunion between the two third division teams, which ended with a 2 to 0 victory for Burgsport. In the final, Borussia Walste wins with an incredible 3 to 0!
