The WMCA–Fatimanian War was a war between nations of the WMCA Alliance and their allies and the Fatimanian Federation, spanning thirteen hours over two days. tensions between the alliance and the Fatimania Federation have been high for many months but things soon broke down after VSS Tyrona of the Fatimania-Class Nuclear-powered Submarine launched a P5 SLBM Missile aimed at Malta Comino Gozo's navy base in the Grand Harbour. The resulting attack missed its initial target and hit a busy residential area outside of Downtown Valletta, the capital of Malta Comino Gozo. The attack brought about international condemnation from the WMCA countries, with pressure to declare "An attack on one is an attack on all" .The Alezian Union and Waisnor were reluctant for any sort of conflict and more sanctions were issued on the Fatimania Federation by the alliance as well as by the international community. President Alice Desnilla of the Fatimanian Federation then declared war on the WMCA Alliance only hours later on Sunday 15th September 2024.

Valletta Missile strike
On Sunday, 15th September 2024, at approximately 11:03 AM local time, two powerful explosions occured on the outskirts of Valletta. A seven-story apartment block near the epicentre sustained significant damage, while five shops and two houses were completely destroyed. The blasts caused widespread panic, and thick plumes of smoke were visible across the city and much of the island. Five civilians were killed, including three Malta Comino Gozoans, two Alezians, and one Darkmanian.
Chief of Police Angelo Gafà, along with emergency services and forensic teams, discovered missile fragments among the debris. Shortly after, the Fatimanian Navy confirmed it had launched a P5 SLBM missile from the VSS Tyrona, a Fatimania-class nuclear-powered submarine, positioned 500 kilometres off Malta Comino Gozo in the Mediterranean Sea. The missile had been intended to target a military base in Malta Comino Gozo, but it went off course, striking the residential area instead. The submarine evaded detection and returned to its base in Fatimania.
The attack followed a series of escalating tensions between Fatimania and the WMCA Alliance. The day before the attack, Fatimanian President Alice Desnilla threatened to bring the WMCA-imposed sanctions to the International Court of Justice, accusing the alliance of threatening the use of force and aligning with pro-Putin policies. Her remarks sparked international outrage, with nations such as Saint Monkey condemning her rhetoric. In response, Desnilla further escalated the situation by threatening Saint Monkey with war.
The Uskadian government acted swiftly, deploying part of its navy to Malta Comino Gozo amidst rising tensions. Prime Minister Robert Abela welcomed the arrival of the Uskadian aircraft carrier, UdS Admiral Retena, along with 1,000 Uskadian marines to reinforce the island's defences. Abela also condemned President Desnilla’s invasion threats and stated that any further aggression towards Malta Comino Gozo or its allies, including Saint Monkey, would result in additional WMCA sanctions against Fatimania.
The conflict
More missile attacks begin to rain upon Malta Comino Gozo, although anti aircraft systems managed to repel most missiles. Later, the WMCA announced a joint airstrike on targets in Fatimania. Uskadian F-35s were deployed and managed to destroy or damage industrial areas, while MCG Air Forces targeted Fatimanian naval bases. Waisnorian Air Force began targeting oil refineries and stockpiles, intending to cripple the Fatimanian Air Force's capabilities. Together with the Alezian Air Force, the Uskadian Air Force destroyed around 190 Fatimanian Air Force aircraft.
In response, Fatimanian Air Force aircraft attacked the Port of Valletta, and also conducted a raid at the strait of Allaro. It was also reported that Fatimanian missiles were directed towards the Alezian Union. The WMCA responded by intensifying airstrikes and began planning for a ground invasion. The Uskadian Navy also launched rockets at Fatimanian military targets, including some in Fatima City.
As part of the intensified air strikes, MCG and Waisnorian air forces conducted a successful operation on key military industrial facilities in Fatima City. Later, a joint operation by all WMCA air forces attacked and destroyed Fatimanian Navy ships at a naval yard. The Fatimanian Armed Forces launched more rockets at Valletta. Most were intercepted, but two managed to hit parts of the city.
A few hours later, Fatimanian president Alice Desnilla, declared a ceasefire, and started peace negotiations. As of now, negotiations are still ongoing.
