The Kujira fulfill a somewhat-stealthy Guided Missile Destroyer role, utilizing sensor fusion to fulfill a key role of area air and naval defense, although it has proven to be reliant on other ships for anti-submarine activity. It possesses the capacity to utilize land-attack cruise missiles, anti-ship missiles, long range anti-air missiles, and possesses a VLS system holding shorter-range CIWS missiles.
