Skjold Municipality is a Municipality of Greater Normark that lies in the centre of the region Sotheim. The Administrative seat is the town of Skjold, with a population of 2,000. The largest urban centre is the town of Markeryd, with a population of 10,000. Markeryd was one of the centres of the industrial revolution in Sotheim, housing some of the largest textile factories in Greater Normark.
