Pics-Jumeaux is a Castillian mystery-horror drama television series that was broadcast on CBC from 2000 to 2002, with a feature film in 2004. A third and final season was broadcast in 2035. The series revolves around SSF Special Agent Dom Choffard as he works with the inhabitants of the sleepy mountain town of Pics-Jumeaux, rocked by the murder of teenager Laurie Pierrat, to find her killer. Among the cast that assist Choffard is the straight-laced and relaxed police chief Pierre S. Beaulieu (named after the former Imperial-era prime minister), Beaulieu's deputies, the sultry and manipulative Aurelie le Haye, daughter of industrialist Benjamin le Haye, and others.

The show draws on elements of soap opera dramatics intertwined with detective fiction and some elements of police procedural. However, the series is most iconic for using these tropes and underlying them with elements of the supernatural, uncanny valley effects, eccentric character, offbeat humor, and surrealism. Its cinematography and set design further exacerbated these tones by setting them against the idyllic and pristine mountain landscapes of a small town in the geographically-coniferous province of Oyonnax. As the show progresses, Choffard and other characters gradually come to realize that Pics-Jumeaux's dark underbelly and sinister forces surrounding it.

Since the end of the second season in 2002, the show has developed a cult following and become a staple of Castillian cinematic arts. Having been translated into over a hundred languages, tourists from all over flock to the small hamlets of Évry and Grande-Synthe in the province of Oyonnax, where the series was filmed.Pics-Jumeaux is often considered one of the greatest television series ever made and has consistently received widespread critical acclaim during its original run. While its feature film Marche de Feu Avec Moi received more polarizing reviews at the time, it has been since critically reevaluated and considered among the greatest movies ever made as well. The 2035 continuation of the series received critical acclaim worldwide, and was listed by Marianne as one of the most anticipated television seasons in history.
