The 1982 Delamarian General Election was held on April 14th, 1982, four years and three months after the previous election. Elizabeth Grantham's United party secured reelection, however with a significantly reduced majority, largely due to particularly high inflation and unemployment. Social Labour suffered a significant defeat, with Michael Boxtridge losing his position as Leader of the Opposition to Charles Johnson of the Liberal Party.
