Tir Ellis is the capital and largest city of Vanyaael, a semi-autonomous republic of the Alfar Imperium, as well as a chief financial center for the Imperium. Tir Ellis is the principal cultural, political, and scientic center of the exclave and is home to much of the territory's government. The Tir Ellis Metropolitan Area is home to one-fourths of Vanyaael's population. Only the city of Mathanas compares.
Tir Ellis sits at the southern end of the Western Alfarian Sea on the Jaskiel Harbor. The Port of Tir Ellis is one of the largest ports in the Imperium by tonnage and is a primary nexus for goods traveling to and from Amador from its sworn allies, Seclya. The Kilaria River bisects the city in half and is noted for the extensive river barges travelling into the interior of the republic.
Tir Ellis has been a major city of Vanyaael for millennia alongside Mathanas and Hokiel as rival city-states vying for control of what is now the modern borders of the territory. It established itself as the most powerful of the warring city-states, eventually ascertaining control over its rivals before ultimately falling victim to its own folly before the Imperium ultimately interceded and absorbed the city and its rivals into its empire.
