Sassoi are a mammalian bipedal humanoid species native to the grassland planet Nauhines and found widely throughout the galaxy. Sassoi are colored brown and white with distinguishing black stripes in varying areas. The males have long, often curved, horns. Evolved from four-legged antelope-like creatures on their homeworld, Sassoi are deeply religious beings and throughout their off-world colonies have established a theocracy. Throughout the galaxy however, and particularly in the Galactic Union, Sassoi have become far more secular and often take on space-faring jobs such as transporting goods or working in spaceports.
