Seccohiri is a terrestrial moon located in the Core of the Talin Galaxy, orbiting the gas giant Ryieec II. Though dominated by large red soil flats, the moon also features mountains, canyons, and deeply sunken waterways which were home to aquatic creatures. Among these subterranean water reserves is a "briny" ocean. The moon has an atmosphere breathable to oxygen-breathers, such as humans, which was fed by the dissolution of underground reserves of solid oxygen and nitrogen-suspending crystals. The red soil-covered surface absorbs sunlight, which creates deep red hues at midday. The sodium-containing soil also makes the moon surface slippery, hard to travel; with gusts of wind sending up flumes of red dirt. As such, most major settlements on the moon are encased in tall metal structures or constructed under the moon's surface. Seccohiri is notable for its diversity in sentient life, a result of vast interstellar trade along key overspace routes and its position near the center of the Galactic Union.
