Arken is an terrestrial planet located in the Outer Band of the Talin Galaxy, orbiting around the star of Arken Prime. Humans are the dominant species on the planet, as it was first colonised by Human Expansion in 328 BHT, at the time the planet was known for its mining operations with also the presence of military personnel stationed there as tasting ground for weapons and for military training before the collapse of Iearth. During the turmoil in the aftermath of the Iearth destruction, the planet was in a state of isolation from other human colonies, losing contact with the other colonies for decades, which may be the reason for the planet's omission from the Human Admission Treaty at the time but for exact details it is lost within history.
It is independent from the Galactic Union, currently under the control of the United Arken State.
Climate
Much of the planet terrain is rocky terrain and some pocket of Woodland areas, it is rich in minerals
History
Government
They are ruled by a military junta government called the United Arken State (UAS). it is run by “The High Council” which was originally formed as “International Liberation Front” in the aftermath of the destruction of Iearth at 4 AHT in secret from at the time, the old planetary government on the planet and it got into power on 10 AHT when they overthrow at the time, the old governor of Arken. The current leader of the UAS is High Admiral Erik Kane, he was elected to the position by the High Council after the previous leader, High Admiral Isaiah Shepherd died of old age.
UAS is a deeply ultra-militaristic state with highest ranking military officers constituting the High Council and most state institutions being controlled by the military or someone associated with the military. The military are split between the Army and Navy with military conscription enforced, it is required under lottery that all able men and women must complete five years of conscription in their lifetime with severe punishment if refusing. They don’t discrimination to other races joining long enough; they swear fealty to the state and to the High Admiral.
UAS has been accused of numerous civil rights violations on its own people and its reports of underground slavery rings and state sponsored abductions of pilgrims that traveled to Ruins of Iearth, accusations that UAS has strongly denied and blame it on foreign agents trying to destroy the state. The UAS also been accused of stealing technology through espionage which they also strongly deny.
