The Telum Vertical Engagement System (TVES) is a fictional modular missile launch platform inspired by real-world naval systems, notably the Mark 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS). Designed for usage by Belfras and customer nations in Ajax, the TVES mirrors the evolution of real-world naval missile launchers, adapting their concepts into distinct generations and sub-generations to suit the narrative. The generations of the TVES are meant to summarise the evolution of this vertical launcher, and to summarise those:

TVES-1 Ignis System
Real-world counterpart: Early iterations of the Mark 41 VLS and is the equivalent to those seen early on the Ticonderoga-class cruiser or the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer.
TVES-2 Fulmen System
The modernised Mark 41 VLS system seen onboard ships today.
Telum Compact Engagement System (TCES)
Based on the Mark 56 VLS
Telum Augmented Engagement System (TAES)
Based on the Mark 57 PVLS.
