The Telum Vertical Engagement System (TVES) is a fictional modular missile launch platform inspired by real-world naval systems, notably the Mark 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS). Designed for usage by Belfras and customer nations in Ajax, the TVES mirrors the evolution of real-world naval missile launchers, adapting their concepts into distinct generations and sub-generations to suit the narrative. The generations of the TVES are meant to summarise the evolution of this vertical launcher, and to summarise those:
- TVES-1 Ignis System
- Real-world counterpart: Early iterations of the Mark 41 VLS and is the equivalent to those seen early on the Ticonderoga-class cruiser or the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer.
- TVES-2 Fulmen System
- The modernised Mark 41 VLS system seen onboard ships today.
- Telum Compact Engagement System (TCES)
- Based on the Mark 56 VLS
- Telum Augmented Engagement System (TAES)
- Based on the Mark 57 PVLS.
