Introduction date1983

The Foster Wickner SB-83 Helios is a supersonic strategic bomber designed in Willink. The Helios was envisioned in the late 1970s as a next-generation strategic bomber to ensure Willink's ability to deliver conventional and nuclear payloads under the evolving conditions of era air doctrines. The aircraft emphasized high speed, advanced aerodynamics, and early semi-stealth capabilities such as radar-absorbing materials while providing an extended range capable of global strike missions. By 1983, the bomber had entered service, intended to replace aging fleets of conventional bombers in service since the 1950s. Operated alongside the Questarian Blackburn Blackadder bomber, the Helios constitutes a primarily element of Willink's strategic bomber and nuclear delivery capabilities.

Initially designed to cruise at 70,000 feet at Mach 2.5 to deliver nuclear strikes, the Helios found new life in the 1990s as a high speed strategic stand off missile delivery platform. The Helios has seen combat operations against Saharistan, Leafanistan, Parthia, Prestonia, and Allanea, and successfully delivered nuclear strikes during the Saharistan War.
