Qairon is a cold, mostly aquatic planet located in the Outer Band of the Talin Galaxy. It's the fourth planet away from Durathan out of 6 planets that orbits the orange dwarf, but the only one with recorded sentient life. The sentient native species of the planet are the Querali and the Jiknon, the latter ones commonly referred to as Tardarians. It is a mostly snow-covered and aquatic planet, with some subarctic regions closer to the celestial equator. 80% of the surface contains of water or large parts of frozen ice or floating glaciers. Major parts of the oceans completely freeze when Qairon's orbit is further away from the orange dwarf, which makes it possible to traverse between different continents on the ice. This has deeply affected the different species' cultures and way of travelling.

The planet contains some spaceports and multiple mining facilities, with the largest spaceport being Gomuvuta and the largest city being Duvali. The planet lies on the edge of the Galactic Union, with the largest governmental organisation, the United Qairon Assembly, being a part of the Galactic Union while several smaller factions have claimed independence. Several civil wars has broken out on the planet between factions either against or for joining the Galactic Union but the planet has been considered a consistent member since 2769 AHT, even though the planet still experiences several wars or altercations between the United Qairon Assembly and pro independence factions.

History

The Golden Age and the first colonization

After several centuries of several smaller conflicts, deceases and a downward direction of technology with starvation and other deaths, began several organisations and countries to prosper again, with new technologies, overall peace on the planet and the establishment of international organisations with the goal of working together. This began the golden age of Qairon, and several organisations worked together to take the species into space. The space focused organisation Solar Union of Querali, known as SUQ, managed to send the first spaceships with people in them to nearby moons, and just a few decades later was the first colonisation established on the moon Veslaar, known as Arquunia. What followed was a race to moons and planets in the solar system surrounding Dulathar, with the biggest competitors being SUQ, the Jiknon mining corporation of Gomuvuta Mining Federation and inter-species alliance known as the Prospererity Collective. The mining of important resources on these colonies led to an even faster developement of both space travelling, agricultural and medicinical technologies. The new colonies also helped with slowing down the quickly rising population on Quairon, and allowed for more creatures to be able to prosper.

The planet still had high tensions, especially since the Querali both had gained a much larger population than the jiknon but also more prosperity and far better technology. Some countries, factions and organisations had bigger population of species, but the jiknon would mostly face oppression and hardships from the Querali, which led to a larger isolation and less prosperity for Jiknon factions. This was also reflected in space travel, where 9 out of 12 space colonies were a part of different Querali factions, and only one colony was only made out of jiknons. These hardships led to the jiknon creating unionns and federations to stay stronger, meanwhile the querali fractioned into smaller factions, all wanting to conquer space and have the most power on Qairon.

First contact with Humans and the creation of the United Qairon Assembly

The first human contact happeened in X, when human coorporations wanted to establish mines on Quairon. This happened after the failure of Qiaron space colonies, and desperate to get back into space trading and to become a part of the galaxy, decided several Querali and Jiknon factions to create a a large confederation of all factions on Qairon that democratically would work for space exporation and trading with other species. The Prosperity Collective merged with Gomuvuta Mining Federation and several smaller factions to create the United Qairon Assembly. Lots of jiknon factions, who had been surpressed by the Querali for a long time, and who also lived on the lands where interspacial corporations wanted to mine, opposed the creation of the UQA and several smaller conflicts emerged. The Querali faction of Greater Duvali also oppsed the UQA and the establishment of contact with humans and other species, since they felt threatened that space trading and integration would make them lose their power as the most powerful faction on Qairon and being forced to stop their oppression of other factions.

The first United Qairon Assembly consisted of 250 delegates from 50 different factions, and their first Chancellor was the queralian Endriq Sangaran, who signed a treaty and a contract with human settlers, corporations and other species.

The 2nd Great Conflict and first admittance to the Galactic Union

The peace wouldn't last long, since the corporations aggressive mining of the bhomes of the Jiknon and the settlers imperialistic spread of culture into QUerali society werent' appreaciated by none of the species. The Greater Duvali spaceport closed for everyone non querali and lots of countries banned otrher species from entering. Several members of the UQA were also unhappy with the situation and the factions a part of the union quickly decreased to only 23. The UQA atill declared themselves as the deciders of space diplomacy, which sparked a conflict from all sides, with the biggest factions being the Greater Querali War pact, the UQA and a thin alliance between jiknon tribes. This was the beginning of the 2nd great conflict, which would go on for 13 years until the Treaty of Duvali was signed with the UQA as victors. A part of the treaty was that all factions of the Greater Querali War Pact was forced to join the UQA.
