Citizens for a Democratic Society is a left-wing and progressive political party in the United States. Formed in 1960 as the Students for a Democratic Society, the group adopted its current name and entered electoral politics in 1966. The party focuses on social justice and anti-discrimination issues, and is the most prominent American party of the wikipedia:New Left. It is currently a member of the Democratic-led Alliance for Democracy.
