A island located in the far north of Asteria Superior, the Republic of Svobinsk is a minor dependency of Narolazica. One of Kylaris's northernmost countries, it has a frigid climate characterized by extreme winters. This climate results in one of lowest population densities in Kylaris, with a population of a few hundred thousand. The inhabitants of Svobinsk are primary native and Slavic, with small Bahian minorities. One half of the population lives in Svobinsk City, which is the economic, financial, and political center of the nation. Svobinsk politically is dominated by a few large mining firms and oligarchs, who effectively control the ruling party. The country has a highly unequal wealth division with a GINI higher then .50.
