Libra (Libriran: Либра) is the capital and 3rd largest city in the People's Republic of Librira. with 6.1 million residents living in the city. The city is biforcated by the Libra River The city was founded in 1703, and was made the Libriran capital in 1721, it retained this role after the revolution.
Libra is a major political, cultural and economic center of Librira. Located along the Libra river in a state of the same name. Libra is located relatively central in Librira. It is one of the warmest metropolises and one of the busiest in Corentia. The city is well known for its collection of impressive government buildings, and numerous libraries, many dating from the Imperial period.
Libra is the seat of power of the Government of Librira, site of the People's Congressional Hall. All three components and most Libriran Secretariats are based in Libra, and in a complex of Libriran government buildings in April Square. Libra is considered the cultural center of Librira, serving as a home of numerous Libriran museums, schools and libraries.
Libra is served by a complex network of below-ground and above-ground transportation networks. A network of subways, busses, and trams allow residents to traverse the city, in addition to the normal road, and pedestrian paths.
