Republic of Vietnam is one of the three post-WWIII superpowers together with India and the JTO.
History
In 2034 the Hanoi Spring took place. Communists were overthrown and Vietnam became a democracy. Democratic Vietnam had its capital moved to Saigon in 2036. In 2043 Vietnam became a developed nation. However since Hanoi Spring leaders were strongly anti-WMD, democratic Vietnam never aquired any nuclear weapons or any other WMDs.
During WWIII Vietnam remained neutral. However some ethnobioweapons targeting ethnic Chinese affected Vietnamese. Vietnam lost 64% of its population during three days. President Luong Huy Anh and most members of his government passed away during the attacks. However Vu An Nam, the Minister of Transportation, the Minister of Transportation, remained alive.
