The Holy Kingdom of Aegion is a theocratic absolute monarchy in Pardes located on the continent of X. It has a population of XXX, making it one of the most populous countries in Pardes. Covering approximately XXX square kilometers, it is also the X largest country in the world. It is considered the second largest continuous land empire in the region. Governed by God-Emperor Agrion IV, the state exercises jurisdiction over 18 provinces and 10 free cities.

Aegion emerged as one of the earliest civilizations along the Sea of X with a series of Kingdoms rising up around 1400 BC. These Kingdoms were slowly conquered by AD 12 and converted to XX Christianity in 1076 after the X Crusade. The Cult of Saint Agaithon emerged prominently in 1324 waging a war against the twin Northern Kingdoms of Savaldbar and Eberos, conquering both. The first God-Emperor, Vescalion I, ascended the throne in 1350 enforcing a theocratic cult around himself and decreeing himself as God’s anointed.

Aegion has one of the largest economies in the world and is notable for its massive mining industry. It is also notable for a vast gap between the wealth of its poorest and richest citizens and has some of the poorest citizens in the world. Another key industry in Aegion is arms manufacturing, which it is one of the largest in the world. It also significantly relies on mining and manufacturing for economic revenue.
