Donald Byron Tealer (born May 11, 1990, died January 7, 2023) was an American paramedic and former US Marine. He was employed under San Andreas Fire Rescue, the leading and primary emergency ambulance and firefighting service in Blaine County, San Andreas. He was portrayed by Tealer.[1].

Early life

Tealer was born on May 11, 1990, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His father, Brandon Tealer, was a Sergeant in the Milwaukee Police Department, most notably assisting in the investigations of the 1991 killings conducted by American serial killer Jeffery Dahmer. Due to his father being mostly absent from home during his upbringing, Tealer formed a strong relationship with his mother, Arleen, who passed due to lung complications in mid-2002. Tealer described the remainder of his childhood from then on out as "lonely, almost meaningless," presumably due to the loss of his mother.

Tealer was a self-proclaimed loner during the majority of his childhood, maintaining a close though small friend group throughout middle and high school. He often spent much of his free time reading and writing. Tealer was an ambitious student, earning the commandment of valedictorian in his senior year of high school. He was renowned for his accomplishments at home, his father recalling that he was very proud of what his son had done.

Career

Military

Tealer enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2008, attending boot camp just six months after his graduation. Upon finishing basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, Tealer was assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit as a Scout Sniper Trainee. He participated in the Iraq War during his time in the Marine Corps. Tealer was discharged in 2012 after completing his service owed, operating in the Marine Corps Reserve for yet another four years. He completed his service fully as a Sergeant.

Higher education

Tealer sought out a Bachelor's degree in 2012, attending the University of Los Santos, graduating in 2016.

San Andreas Fire Rescue

Tealer moved upstate in mid-2022, struggling to find adequate work until displaying interest in a career in San Andreas Fire Rescue. He joined the organization's ranks early on in September, and has earned the paygrade of FF2.

Personal life

Marriage and eventual divorce

Tealer met Audrey Krueger during his time at ULSA. The two instantly bonded over shared interests, and began dating in late-2013. The two dated until 2014, when Krueger unusually proposed to Tealer. Tealer accepted, and the two married in October of that year.

The two conceived their first and only child, Sarah, in November 2014. Nine months later, Sarah was born on July 25, 2015.

Following their child's birth, Krueger quickly grew wary of her surroundings, despite Tealer trying his best to provide for his new family. The two suffered what Tealer later described as "sitting in a pressure cooker for four years", with Krueger eventually filing for divorce in 2019. The two have parted since, with Krueger leaving Tealer with full custody of their child, and have not been in contact since.

'Bachelor life'

Tealer moved up to Paleto Bay with his child in mid-2022, finding employment under San Andreas Fire Rescue. During his time up in Blaine County, Tealer described his life as "comfortably decent," citing that "there wasn't much to stress about. I enjoyed my job, still do, got my kid. She's soaring through her classes, I don't have that... dragon, breathing down my back. Excuse me." Despite claiming that he holds no emotional attachment to his ex-wife, close friends have noted that Tealer appeared to be "quieter and drained." Tealer continuously argued against these claims until they eventually ceased.

In late-2022, Tealer suffered a freakishly high frequency of kidnappings. He has joked on multiple occasions that there "is a cult actively hunting him down," though he has continued to grow weary of his surroundings.

Death

Abduction

On January 3, 2023, Tealer was abducted and subsequently tortured by two suspects following a disagreement on social media. He was discovered and rescued in the Great Chaparral region four hours after his initial disappearance. He was treated on scene by responding medic units and was admitted to a local hospital to be attended to further.

Assassination & funeral

On January 7, 2023, Tealer was shot and murdered in the greater Sandy Shores area. His murder was connected to his kidnapping on the 3rd, and his attackers were apprehended mere hours after the assassination took place. On the 10th, a funeral procession was held. Tealer's funeral service took place at the Vinewood Funeral Home. His body was transported and buried at Arlington National Cemetary, on the 11th.
