The Duke of Glynmoran's Regiment is an infantry regiment of the Imperial Vionna-Frankenlischian Army. Founded in 1844 as the 5th (Duke of Glynmoran's) Regiment of Foot, the regiment is one of the oldest standing units in the Vionna-Frankenlischian armed forces. The regiment is recruited from the Duchy of Glynmoran and consists of two full-strength battalions and three reserve battalions.

History

Current Structure

As of July 2022, the Duke of Glynmoran's Regiment consists of five battalions. Two (1st-2nd) are regular service battalions at full-strength. Three (3rd-5th) are Reserve List battalions on 1/5th strength. This makes for a total strength of 2,600 troops.

Regular

  • 1st Battalion, Duke of Glynmoran's Regiment

Commanded by Colonel the Marquess of Rynell, 1st Battalion is based in the Glynmoran Military District.

  • 2nd Battalion, Duke of Glynmoran's Regiment

Commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Lady Alys Sawyer, 2nd Battalion is based at Bliksem.

One company of 2nd Battalion is on garrison duty in Kenega on annual rotation. From November 2021-22, G (Grenadier) Company is posted in Kenega at Hilton Barracks, Wexborough.
