Emily, Duchess of Lausanne (born 5 August 2061) is the eldest daughter and heir of Connor II of Connuriste and his wife, Charlotte, Empress of Connuriste. She was born only a short time after the marriage of her parents. Emily was appointed the position of Duchess of Lausanne as heir to the throne by her father in 2071 following the marking of his tenth year on the throne of Connuriste.

Early Life

Emily was the firstborn child of Emperor Connor II and Empress Charlotte, henceforth she will likely inherit Geneva in her lifetime as well as the whole of Connuriste. She attended the finest private school in the country for her education, where she mixed with several other children from highborn backgrounds, including some of the children of Anna Charlotte. Shortly before she became ten years old, on her father's ten year anniversary she was given the Duchy of Lausanne. Emily excelled in her schooling, particularly becoming fond of music, an interest her father was keen to nurture. She received some tutorship for piano from her uncle Leopold, her mother's older brother, before he took the throne of Beliany. It is unclear to what extent the two of them worked together but regardless Emily was considered a fine pianist at her school.

Early Adulthood

In 2079 and 2080, it was known that Emily had been shadowing the Chancellor Aurelia MacDonald hoping to gain insight into the political world. As part of her learning from Chancellor MacDonald, she was present at the meeting with Rigmora Géza for the economic trade deal, known popularly as the Géza-MacDonald Trade Agreement. It is unknown at the moment what input the Crown Princess had on this historic meeting.

In 2081, during the celebrations that marked her father's twentieth year on the throne, Emily narrowly survived an attempted poisoning. The Crown Princess reportedly felt unwell before her condition swiftly deteriorated. Prompt medical intervention on the scene and later at the Empress Alice Memorial Hospital (which had only been opened the very same day) ultimately resulted in her successful resuscitation and recovery. It was suspected that the poisoned bottle of drink was intended for her father, but there have been no major leads in finding those responsible.

In the summer of 2083 Emily became the patron of the Connuriste Heart Foundation known as the CHF. All princes and princesses of Connuriste are expected to be the patron of at least one charity. After this was announced, the CHF received record donations.

Personal life

Emily is known to be in a relationship with Prince Rafaël, Duke of Ede, having been seen together both in Lausanne and at events around the world, firstly the ball season in Vienna in late 2081. The two have supposedly known each other for a long time and they are said to be living together, though they are not yet engaged.

Emily is known as a very talented pianist and performs often, both with orchestras around Connuriste and at private concerts. She also has some experience as a conductor with the Royal Orchestra in Lausanne, and many of her performances are available on the radio, online, or purchasable on hard copy. Emily was rumoured to be also working on writing music for the coronation of her sister Princess Alexia as Queen of Scots, though it is unclear as she was eventually never crowned.

As the future Empress of Connuriste, Emily makes an effort to attend many royal events around the world in order to expand her social circles and gain experience in the royal world, having been present at the International Gala for Peace in Selesburge and the King's Silver Jubilee in Cinyras, attending the latter with her sister Princess Charlotte of Connuriste.
