Blickia was first colonised in 927 AD by the former Caspian Empire when the nation was divided by civil wars into two nations: Blickia and Mothadra of which Blickia took control of in 1102 AD in the War of two. In the early stages, Blickia wasn't at all considered a powerful nation. In fact, it was a pretty under developed one, there was not a lot of people despite the fertile lands and technology seemed non existent. This carried on like this for around a century when things started to pick up and Blickia was transforming into the beautiful and significantly more influential nation that it is today. Blickia is widely known to have an incredibly powerful navy and it has won the nation many many wars in the past which have assisted its growth. The future of Blickia seems bright and the current ruler Queen Henrietta Elisia III has proven to be an excellent leader and has already taken large steps in order to secure the progression of Blickia as Oradon leaps into a new era.

After a long few months of nothing much going on, the Noble did something very unexpected and declared that he was leading a new independent state to war against The Caspian Empire. This news shocked the emperor greatly and for a while, he didn't know what to do, but the Noble did. He began flooding the capital city with hundreds of soldiers, it was a blood bath, hundreds of lives were lost, innocent blood was spilled for no good reason, it was horrific. Once the wars calmed down and everybody was willing to discuss things in a structured manner in a controlled environment, the two leaders began to talk. After a long time of arguing and negotiation, the discussion was complete and the "Treaty of Casplicias" was made which declared Blicias a sperate nation free of Caspian control for good.

Things seemed in order for the first few years when unfortunately, in 924 AD there was yet another civil war to occur in the Caspian Empire. This one was much more significant however as it wasn't a Noble leading the revolt, but a royal. The cousin of the new emperor had been furious that he wasn't given the role of emperor instead of Manuel and so he (like the Noble) created his own independent state and declared war on The Empire of Caspia. This war was much more difficult for Caspian's though due to the sheer amount of people that agreed that Manuel's cousin should have been made emperor instead of himself. When the war had been raging on for almost a year and it looked as though the new state of Mothadra was likely going to end up victorious, the Caspian emperor surrendered to Mothadra and they annexed the entirety if Caspia's territories. Mothadra thought that they were going to rule the world and had high hopes for their future until something unexpected happened; Blicias invaded Mothadra. You see, whilst Mothadra was occupied with attacking Caspia, Blicias was spending that time preparing their troops and plotting their own attack on them the entire time. When they knew that the emperor was drunk along with all his other soldiers during the celebration, they seized the opportunity and stormed the fort full of the now drunk army and killed them all with little effort annexing the territory and becoming the only nation left in the area.

Empire of Blickia

The Empire of Blickia is a nation located in the western continent of Pantericos in Oradon. It is the second largest nation and is known for its incredibly powerful navy. Blickia isn't the most populated nation in Oradon, however it holds a decent population at around 53.66 million citizens (not exact). Blickia is around 603,563 square smiles in border measurement and has a population density of around 10 people per square mile. Blickia is beginning an age of industrialisation and it is currently not impacting the country negatively in a overly worrying form however it is predicted by most if not all scientists in Blickia that if the nation continues the process, it will become a major problem that may be extremely difficult to diffuse. The Blickian Empire has not had a war since 1677 despite its title of which presumes it Imperial. Blickia is not a war mongering country although when an opportunity reveals itself that is very tempting, Blickia may take it 7 or 8 times out of ten.

Throughout this page, you may read The Empire of Blickia being called Blickia, this is because over the years, people globally and locally have started to call it this for the purpose of keeping things short and quick. Although it is commonly known as an informal form of the name, you may hear royal peoples calling it by this name anyway as it is a widely known form of the name and has been for decades. Etymology

The name "Blickia" originates from the Caspian word "Blicias" which means "Inker" or "writers". This is likely due to the fact that during the Caspian civil wars, the leader of the rebelling nation gaining independence was a well known Inker (someone who creates ink for writing) who became a Noble after selling his own novels for a large profit. The name then changed once more after being colonised by many different nations over time which changed the language more and more until the name "Blickia" came to be around the year 1522. The city of Bellus - Blickias Capital city and most populated one by far got its name from Classical Blickian, a language used rarely in modern Blickia however it was predominantly used in the 14th - 16th centuries.

History

Caspian Civil Wars

The Caspian Civil Wars began in 921 AD when the Emperor of Caspia; Manuel Alejandranas murdered a popular nobles daughter for sleeping with another man whilst he and she were supposedly "in love". When the Noble found out about this news, he immediately gathered all of his best knights and stormed the castle where the emperor resided killing him and all of his loved ones in a fit of rage and revenge. When the kings only surviving family member: his eldest son Manuel Alejandranas II succeeded the throne and took power, he slaughtered every man, woman and child who supported the Noble and everyone who protected him too.
