The Enyi society (Aga: Òtù Enyī) is a predominantly Aga Otu secret society present within Okimili, where it exerces a significant degree of control over local governance and religious life. At its base a religious fraternal organisation based upon the worship of Ezè Anụmànù, an elephant deity held to be the "King of the Beasts", the Enyi society took on a political dimension when it led a successful resistance against Auressian colonisation during the Idican wars. In the modern Okimili Confederation, the Enyi society acts as a major uniting force across the various polities. Many of the confederation's politicians are initiates, and the society is heavily present in religious affairs.
