The AA-77 (Also known as the FN MAG or Mle 58) is Sieuxerrian general purpose machine gun. It was designed and developed by Fabrique Nationale d'Hersta in the 1950s as a replacement for older machine guns that had been in service since the inter-war era.

Design details

The AA-77 is an open-bolt, air-cooled belt-fed machine gun firing the 6.5x55mm or 7.5x54mm cartridge. It uses a long-stroke piston system, utilizing gases from the expended cartridge to cycle the bolt.
