Floptropican Lotus
The Floptropican Lotus (Scientific name: Nelumbo Floporiginis) is a type of lotus that grows in only three countries, Sloughttopia, Floptropica, and Daboyz. The plant is nearly exting due to overuse in Floptropica and war in Daboyz but has been surprisingly preserved in Sloughttopia. The plant is differentiated from other lotuses with it's extra petals and more distinct pink colour. The plant is used mainly for making special velvets that can cost anywhere from $300USD to $1200USD (3,000STS-12000STS). The flower is a relatively new species with the earliest evidence of it's existence being from the year 610 CE.
Conservation Efforts
Daboyz
Daboyz has been often criticized by the UFN and other countries for it's lack of conservation efforts to save the flower from extiction. There is an estimated population of 20,000 independent flowers left in Daboyz with a decline of 2% every year. War and pollution has effected the flower population in Daboyz and many beleive that there is no saving the flower in this area unless something drastic happens.
Floptropica
Floptropica has done a much better job at conserving the flower than Daboyz; they have established certain zones where the flower grows in mass and no high pollutants are allowed into these zones, whether it's cars or factories. Even with these efforts, teh flower is still susceptible to overuse, especially by the poor, looking for ways to become rich through selling velvet. The estimated Flower population is at an estimated 120,000 individual flowers with a decline of 0.3%.
Sloughttopia
Lotuses in Sloughttopia are often given the title of best preserved. Sloughttopia's strict regulations on pollution allowe the flower to flourish, especially in the small rainforests in Hanslay. Sloughttopia also has rules set in place to protect the flower, for example, there is a law in Sloughttopia that prohibits any and everybody from picking the flower, unless it is in there property, or they have permission from the government (which is very rare). Citizens can and most likely will be taxed the amount of money that they could have gained from the amount of lotus that they picked. The population is about 470,000 in SLoughttopia and there is a 2.7% increase every year.
